On facebook today, noted photographer, Dan Creighton, issued a photo challenge to his blog readers. The challenge is to photograph a scene taken from inside your home, apt, etc that includes looking in, or out of a window/door, etc. (I hope looking out of a door is okay since that's what I ended up taking a shot of!) I looked out a few of my windows, but to me there wasn't a photo-challenge-worthy image. I found my location at the front entrance to the apartment building I reside in. I waited for a burst of wind before taking this shot. This image was taken of the neighbor's front porch during the blizzard of 2010.
The metadata was f/22 @ 1/3 seconds, ISO 100 and my camera mounted on my induro tripod.
Hi Cynthia. Thanks for meeting the challenge. This certainly works for it and works visually. I like the angled snow pile and the snow shovel included. The shovel isn't in your face in the photo but it sure adds a lot to the story of the scene. Nice.
