Lancaster County Convention Center

Here is another image from my recent photo outing in Lancaster City. I captured this image at the lower level area at the Lancaster County Convention Center. The image was later converted to B&W in post processing. I would like "my fans" to critique this photo for me, since this is different from the regular subjects that I shoot. Is it missing something? Should I have added a person or two? It would have been difficult to do since this was a 30 second exposure! Any ways, your comments are appreciated!

Saint Marys Catholic Church

Yesterday, I decided to work on buildings, both inside and outside. While in the City of Lancaster, I stopped at Saint Marys Catholic Church (my first visit) and photographed the inside of the beautiful cathedral-style church. When I arrived, the altar was not lit. Within a few moments, the lights were turned on and at first, I thought that maybe the lights were automated in some way! Or, was someone else giving me a sign? As it turned out, a church worker was responsible for the lights as she was getting ready to water the poinsettias. Also, a wedding was scheduled, as to why there were ribbons and bows on the church pews.

Snowy Branches

Here is another image from my recent "Snow Day" self assignment. Giving yourself "self" assignments is a good way of practicing your photography skills. Sometimes, you can get really creative with what you capture too. The only left to ask myself now is what will my next self-assignment be?

The metadata for this image was f/22 @ 1/4, ISO 100.

Another Snowy Landscape

Here is another image from my recent outing in Mount Joy. I like how the leading lines from the field lead your eyes to the lone tree, then to the barn in the background. Leading lines, especially diagonal, can bring a little excitement to an image!
The metadata for this image was f/22 @ 1/15th, ISO 100 with my camera mounted on a tripod.

Snowy Scenic

Today, I ventured out after the brief snow fall and captured a few landscapes. Although I'm not a "winter" person, I enjoyed being out in the snow! This image was taken in the Marietta/Mount Joy area, about 3 miles from my place.
There were four pine trees and a lone tree seen in the distance. I just wanted to include two of the pine trees in the foreground in this shot. The metadata for this image is f/22 @ 1/10 ISO 100 with my tripod mounted camera.

Hay Stacks Up Close

Here is an image from an "Ed Heaton" photo workshop I attended this past summer. One of our destinations, to photograph, was field of hay stacks. Although I photographed a few images showing the entire field of hay stacks, I liked this this image of the hay stacks close up. The diagonal line works in this image. Moving in close on small subjects shows more details too!
The metadata for this image is f/19 @ 1/6, ISO 100.
